(A.) Persons sent to Hong Kong from foreign Countries.
(B.) Persons who became destitute here in Hong Kong.
As to (A) para. 6(a), 7.0. undertook to pay for paupers sent from Shanghai (see 34944/01)
I presume this applies to cases sent from other countries.
As to (B) it is obviously nothing to do with 7.0.
Whether they will refuse, I had better ask Treasurer if Govt is prepared to pay.
If they refuse, in view of refusal...
